Olympians 2023 Curriculum

Olympians is built around a profound theme found in the Bible: the Christian life as a race. The Olympians curriculum is designed to help children establish a biblical foundation that will encourage obedience to God’s Word out of a love for Christ.

Modules

Jesus

1
This four-lesson series shows that the Bible is one true story that points to the main character — Jesus Christ. All four lessons focus on Jesus Christ and how salvation is possible through Him alone. Jesus is presented as the Hero, the Healer, the Redeemer, and the Savior of the world.

Treasure Hunt

This four-lesson series is an Old Testament book study from Proverbs. It is designed to show children that the wisdom offered by God in His Word is like a valuable treasure to be sought and will be challenged to apply godly wisdom in their lives.

VS

This four-lesson series is a New Testament book study from 1 John. The lessons focus on walking in the light vs. walking in darkness; obedience vs. disobedience; loving God vs. loving the world; and the world’s definition of love vs. a biblical definition of love.

This four-lesson series is designed to help children develop godly character. The first two lessons deal with courage through the stories of Elijah and Nehemiah while the last two lessons deal with generosity through the stories of the Shunamite woman and the churches of Macedonia.

Got Character?

This four-lesson series introduces children to biblical figures that displayed godly characteristics in their lives. The first two lessons cover the faith and obedience of Abraham, while the last two lessons cover the teamwork displayed by Aquila and Priscilla and the faithfulness of Stephen, respectively.

Hero

This two-lesson series introduces children to modern-day heroes of the faith. The first lesson is about the life of John Newton, the writer of the hymn “Amazing Grace.” The second lesson is about George Mueller, a 19th-century preacher and founder of an orphanage in Bristol, England.

Foundations

This four-lesson series is designed to help children learn timeless, doctrinal truths about God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible.

Choices

This four-lesson series covers the topic of sin. Children will be taught that sin has consequences, that gossip hurts others, the importance of knowing when to hold your tongue, and what it takes to defeat sin.

Serve

This four-lesson series discusses the topic of service. The children will be taught how to serve heartily, encouraged to serve with an attitude that glorifies God, challenged to serve generously, and motivated to serve others as Jesus Christ did.

One Another

This four-lesson series is designed to teach children how to treat one another. The Bible has many “One Another” statements. This series will cover four of these statements — encourage one another, care for one another, pray for one another, and submit to one another.

Good News

This two-lesson series focuses on the Gospel. The first lesson is designed to share the truth of the Gospel so children can trust Christ as Savior while the second lesson is designed to help the children use what they learned to share the Gospel with others.

Let's Celebrate!

This four-lesson series provides holiday-specific lessons. The first lesson is designed to be used around Christmastime. The second lesson is designed to be for Easter. The third lesson is a lesson about love and could be used around Valentine’s Day. The fourth lesson is about thankfulness and could be used around the Thanksgiving holiday.
