Gopher Buddies 2022 Curriculum

I WILL HEAR GOD'S WORD AND DO IT
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about the Bible. King Josiah followed God’s Word and chose to obey. The farmer and the seeds story is explained. Timothy was taught God’s Word as a child and teaches others when he is grown. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

GOD CAN DO ANYTHING
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about amazing things that God did. He sent ten plagues upon Egypt to bring the people to Him. God parted the Red Sea. He sent manna from heaven. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

MIRACLES OF JESUS
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about the miracles of Jesus. He walked on water and helped Peter to have faith. Jesus healed a blind man. He also helped Peter to catch amazing amounts of fish. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

I CAN PRAY
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about prayer. Jesus teaches us how to pray. Daniel helps us understand how important it is for us to pray. Jesus wants us to talk to Him in prayer. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD
This four-lesson foundational series teaches how sin separates us from God. Sampson sinned when he chose to disobey God. David told God that he was sorry for sinning and God forgave him. Jesus paid the price so He could forgive us all our sins. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

I LEARN ABOUT HELPERS IN THE CHURCH
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about helpers in the church. Lydia helped Paul. Priscilla and Aquila also helped Paul. Onesiphorus showed kindness to Paul while he was in prison. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

OBEDIENCE
This two-lesson character trait series covers obedience. Children will learn how Noah obeyed God, even when others made fun of him. The second lesson is a review of the first lesson using the Gopher Buddies puppets.

THANKFULNESS
This two-lesson character trait series covers thankfulness. Children will learn how Jesus healed ten men with leprosy but only one man said “thank you.” The second lesson is a review of the first lesson using the Gopher Buddies puppets.

KINDNESS
This two-lesson character trait series covers kindness. The children will hear what kindness is and that God wants them to be kind to others. The second lesson is a review of the first lesson using the Gopher Buddies puppets.

FAITHFULNESS
This two-lesson character trait series covers faithfulness. The children will begin to understand what faithfulness is and know that God wants them to be faithful and obey Him just as Joshua did. The second lesson is a review of the first lesson using the Gopher Buddies puppets.

HOLIDAY AND THEMED LESSONS
Four lessons covering select holidays and themes. Christmas, Easter, Parent Night, and Friend Night.

BEACHES AND BOATS
This two-lesson summer series explains how Jonah disobeyed God when God told him to go to Nineveh, but he later obeyed God after spending three days inside a big fish. The children will learn that Paul and the others on board a ship were afraid during a very bad storm at sea, but God helped them reach land safely.

WET AND WILD
This two-lesson summer series explains how Jesus healed a blind man. They will begin to understand that Jesus cares for them just as He cared for the blind man. Jesus also ordered the wind and waves to stop during a wild storm at sea, and the wind and sea obeyed Him.

SAND AND STONES
This two-lesson summer series explains that when they choose to read (or listen to) God’s Word and obey it, they will be like the wise man who built his house on the rock. In the second lesson. David believed God would help him defeat Goliath. The children will begin to understand that just like David, they should believe God will help them.

WOW, IS IT EVER HOT!
This two-lesson summer series explains the story of Moses and the burning bush. They will begin to understand that God has a plan for their lives just as He had a plan for Moses’ life. The story of Elijah explains that God is the one and only true God and the wonderful things He does for us.

ARE WE THERE YET?
This two-lesson summer series explains how Jesus appeared many times to His disciples after He rose from the dead, and how He wants us to tell others the Good News about Him. In the story of finding a wife for Isaac, we learn that just as God heard the servant’s prayer and helped him, He will hear our prayers and help us.

GOING FOR THE GOLD
This two-lesson summer series explains how Peter and John helped the lame man at the temple. God also wants them to help those who are in need. Even though the children of Israel disobeyed God by worshipping a golden calf instead of worshipping Him, God forgave the Israelites’ sins.
