Module Overview

I WILL HEAR GOD'S WORD AND DO IT
This four-lesson foundational series teaches about the Bible. King Josiah followed God’s Word and chose to obey. The farmer and the seeds story is explained. Timothy was taught God’s Word as a child and teaches others when he is grown. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets.

Lessons

King Josiah Follows God's Word

1 
Children will understand that when King Josiah heard the Word of God, he chose to obey. They will understand that reading God’s Word and doing their Quiet Time will help them know what God wants them to do.

The Farmer and Seeds

2 
Children will understand the meaning of Jesus’ story “The Farmer and the Seeds.” They will know that the good soil is like people who hear God’s Word and do what it says.

Timothy Hears About God's Word

3 
Children will learn that Timothy was taught God’s Word as a young child from his mother and grandmother. They will also know that when Timothy grew up he taught others about God’s Word, the Bible.

Review Lesson

4 
Children will know and understand that both King Josiah and Timothy heard God’s Word and obeyed it. The children will also know that when they hear God’s Word and do what it says they are like the good soil in Jesus’ story.
