I Can Pray

Module Overview

This four-lesson foundational series teaches that prayer is talking with God. Children will learn how Jesus taught His disciples to pray and be given a visual reminder of how to pray using a color bracelet. They will learn that they can pray every day as Daniel did and that it is important to be humble when we pray. The fourth lesson is a review of the first three and includes the Gopher Buddies puppets, available as a script and a video.

Lessons

Jesus Teaches How to Pray

This lesson teaches the Lord’s Prayer. Children will be taught that prayer is talking with God. They will learn how Jesus taught His disciples to pray and be given a visual reminder of how to pray using a color bracelet.

Daniel Prays to God

2 
Children will learn that Daniel knew it was important to talk to God daily. The children will be encouraged to develop the habit of praying every day as Daniel did.

Jesus Wants Me to Pray with Humility

3 
This lesson teaches Jesus’ story about a Pharisee and a tax collector who were praying in the temple. Children will begin to understand that God wants us to come to Him humbly and that we should think about Him when we pray.

Module Review Lesson (Puppets)

4 
This lesson includes a puppet skit available as both a script and a video. This lesson reviews the main concepts found in the three previous lessons of this module about prayer.
