Sand and Stones

Module Overview

This summer module teaches two lessons from scripture that incorporate sand and stones. The first lesson teaches Jesus’ parable about the wise and foolish builders. Children will learn that when they choose to read (or listen to) God’s Word and obey it, they will be like the wise man who built his house on the rock. The second lesson will teach children about how David beat Goliath with a simple stone because God was with Him. They will be encouraged to believe that God will help them with things He has asked them to do, too.

Lessons

Let’s Build a House

This lesson teaches Jesus’ parable about the wise and foolish builders. Children will learn that when they choose to read (or listen to) God’s Word and obey it, they will be like the wise man who built his house on the rock.

A Sling and a Stone

2 
The children will learn that David believed God would help him defeat Goliath. They will be encouraged to believe that God will help them with the things God has asked them to do, too.
